How do you green a village all at once? Well, if you live on a college campus these days with tens of thousands of other students, staff and faculty, the challenge can feel just that daunting. Never fear, the Sustainable Solutions Expo, held jointly with the Association for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) 2008 conference and co-hosted by Sustainable North Carolina, can hep you find out how to go green on a large scale.

These days college students are demanding compost bins, land for organic gardens and fair trade products in the school store. What's an educator or Campus Sustainability Coordinator to do? Step One: Attend the Sustainable Solutions Expo, November 9-11, 2008 in Raleigh, NC to talk face to face with several hundred vendors who specialize in greening big footprints.

The AASHE Annual Conference brings together over 1,000 educators to discuss sustainability programs and to support each other in pushing the envelope on sustainability on a large scale. Several workshops and roundtables will be offered to specifically target introducing sustainability into classroom curriculum and getting new sustainability coordinators up to speed. Keynote speakers this year include Lester Brown (Earth Policy Institute), Van Jones and Vandana Shiva.

Passes are included with your AASHE Conference admission. If you'd like to attend just the Expo, passes can be purchased online.
